Commercial water heaters can consume a considerable amount of energy, accounting for about 16 percent of the total energy load in food service and health care facilities and more than 30 percent in hotels. Upgrading to a higher-efficiency water heater can result in recognizable energy savings.
Step 1 - Check Your Water Heater Rebate Eligibility
Eligible:
- Installed in either a new or existing home
- No limit to the number of units installed in a home
- Must receive natural gas service from us to qualify for a rebate on a gas boiler
- Must receive electric service from us to qualify for a rebate on an electric boiler
Not eligible:
- Indirect units and commercial boilers
- Rated storage volume greater than 55 gallons
- Electric storage and tankless boilers
Step 2 - Install Your Water Heater
- You will be able to select a contractor within the rebate application.
- Self-install is also an option for this rebate
Step 3 - Get Your Water Heater Rebate
- If you are working with a contractor, choose how you want to submit the rebate application:
Online Application or ask your contractor
- Complete one rebate application per unit of qualifying equipment
- Submit rebate application to us by the deadline – July 31 of the year after the qualifying equipment was installed
- Expect your rebate check in eight weeks or less
